Dear Textra Team,

Thank you for building such a fast and customizable messaging app. I have a feature request that would be especially useful for users in India.

Due to local DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) regulations, many businesses send SMS from headers like VM-ICICIB-G, VK-ICICIB-S, etc., even though they all belong to the same sender (e.g., ICICI Bank).

Currently, Textra treats each of these as a separate thread, which leads to fragmentation and makes it hard to follow conversations or notifications from the same brand.

Please consider adding an option to group messages based on the core Sender ID, ignoring the prefix (VM-, VK-, etc.) and suffix (-G, -S, etc.). For example, all messages with -ICICIB- could be grouped into one thread.

Alternatively, a user-defined aliasing or grouping feature would also solve the problem.
