Hi! I've been using Textra for my primary texting on all of my phones for the last 10 years now. I absolutely love it and I've been hoping for an update for better eye comfort options for a long time. the background for the app does have more options than it used to and the "dark" mode is probably the most comfortable, but it's still a bit too dark. I've struggled with migraines for most of my life, with extreme light sensitivity. I have eye comfort on my phone (s24 ultra) but it's not always enough. black backgrounds with white text is pretty awful on the eyes, and white is just too bright at night. The "dark mode" is nice, but I wish it was adjustable to be slightly lighter grey. And I wish there was an option for day and dark mode, instead of just day and night (black) mode.
Also, it could be really cool to be able to set/choose a background photo from our own album as the backgrounds, kind of like in messenger or even the standard messaging apps that come with (android) phones. If that was possible, I could just choose something I know would be easier on my eyes.
