Why did Outlook AutoComplete suddenly stop remembering my contacts?
For years, Outlook automatically suggested email addresses whenever I typed a few characters into the recipient field. Last week that feature suddenly stopped working. Every message now requires me to type the entire address manually, and it's slowing down my workflow significantly.
To Fix Outlook Autocomplete Not Working, I started with the obvious solutions. I verified that the AutoComplete option was enabled, updated Microsoft Outlook to the latest version, and even created a new Outlook profile. Despite all that effort, the problem remained.
The strange thing is that Outlook itself seemed slower than usual. Some folders took longer to load, and searching contacts wasn't as responsive as before. Since basic fixes weren't helping, I investigated deeper and found reports suggesting that autocomplete not working in Outlook may occur when PST files become corrupted.
I decided to try the DRS Softech Outlook PST Repair Tool. The software scanned my Outlook data file and identified several errors that standard troubleshooting methods had missed. After repairing the PST and reconnecting it to Outlook, AutoComplete suggestions gradually started functioning again.
Now Outlook remembers frequently used contacts exactly as before. Has anyone else experienced AutoComplete issues that were actually caused by PST corruption? I'd be interested to know what worked for others.
