Has anyone successfully repaired a severely damaged PST file larger than 50GB?
Yes, it is definitely possible. I recently came across a case where a user had a 58GB Outlook PST file that became inaccessible after Outlook crashed repeatedly. The built-in Inbox Repair Tool (ScanPST) detected issues but could not fully restore the mailbox. The user then tried SysInfo PST File Recovery, which performed a deep scan on the damaged file. Although the process took some time because of the file size, it successfully recovered emails, contacts, calendar entries, and attachments while preserving the folder structure. According to the user, most of the mailbox data was restored without any major loss. Large PST files are generally more prone to corruption, but specialized recovery tools can often handle files well beyond 50GB when standard methods fail.
