Can we PLEASE have an option to leave the LED light on until the msg is checked?

The app Light Manager will fix the LED for you. It works with Textra.

Please add the option to leave the led light on instead of blinking please.

I actually wish the blink rate was faster than it is by default. Customization would be great!

i would like more color options. i for one Like to assign a lot of people different colors. and there aren't that many colors and i run out of options. a color scale would be nice

The LED blink rate would affect battery life by a matter of seconds maybe. LEDs draw and incredibly small amount of power.

With that being said, the ability to customize it would be awesome, and the ability to set it up so different contacts blink with different colors/rates would be sweet

Has anyone noticed a LED behavior change since update?

It seems the LED behavior has changed since the last update. Where it used to blink indefinitely, it now stops blinking after the notification timeout. Ideally this would be configurable, but I would think the default would be indefinite as it was before. I now am missing messages unless I see it within the 3 minute window. Please fix.

I also find the led blinking annoying because the blink rate is too high. The option to choose the blink rate would be much appreciated, even just slow, med, fast options would fantastic.

This is def a feature that should be optional. I find myself missing texts sometimes because of the blinking. Rather have just a solid color. Hope you guys can incorporate this in the next update. Thanks!

Yes please! I just downloaded Textra because I don't like the default messaging app. I see the custom color settings for LED but I may switch back to Handcent where I can edit the blink-rate because it just isn't fast enough on Textra. I like a faster blink so I'll definitely see it flashing if I glance at my phone.

Certain ROM's have the ability to set custom lighting parameters that override the app defaults. Works on cyanogen and presumably AOSP ROM's, likely others, check under Display & Lights in system settings.
