google maps has a location sharing feature that can share a text link through regular android sharing channels (like Textra). The link can be made to time out as well. I don't know if maps has an API for this, but it seems more appropriate to have this functionality handled by a well established maps app, even if it's run through Textra.

It's a jack of all trades / master of none thing. Compare the way Textra handles the emoji and gif features to the way something more established in that area handles them (like Google Keyboard). I personally never use Textra to input emojis and gifs.

Textra is very good (possibly the best?) at it's core features though.

To the Sept. 30th comment at 8:19.....if you're such a expert and think this is such a POS program why don't you 1) write your own, or 2) stop being such a baby about it. If you think its easy to write code, write your own SMS app.......

I concur. This is a must have feature. I loooove textra, but I will have to move back to stock messaging or another third party app without this feature.

Yes. Please add this feature. This is the only thing holding Textra back.

This would be great for hiking with friends. Went ahead too far from the pack and are now lost? Just have them send you their coordinates easily through text!
