I think the message pin feature handles this need well. In my experience it's bad form to have multiple options that accomplish the same thing. I'd say it's better not to have a mark as unread feature.

google maps has a location sharing feature that can share a text link through regular android sharing channels (like Textra). The link can be made to time out as well. I don't know if maps has an API for this, but it seems more appropriate to have this functionality handled by a well established maps app, even if it's run through Textra.
It's a jack of all trades / master of none thing. Compare the way Textra handles the emoji and gif features to the way something more established in that area handles them (like Google Keyboard). I personally never use Textra to input emojis and gifs.
Textra is very good (possibly the best?) at it's core features though.
