    Alternatively, something similar to Samsung's messaging app on Android 6, which allowed you to pin contacts to a bar along the top, which you could click to go directly to that conversation (without needing to devote the screen space for the full conversation).

    This is 100% something we need back! It is a pain in the neck having to search through conversations to find the one you really want & would like always visible

    Used to be able to pin conversation to top. Would like to see this option come back.

    Yes. I don't want to have to scroll through all my conversations for a couple contacts that I would like to have stay on top
