Make it compatable with multi-window
At least on my phone (galaxy s4), I can't use this app to multi task, like texting and watching YouTube videos at the same time. This would be a nice feature

How do you retrieve a message you accidentally erased

On my Oneplus 3T, the phone won't add a notification to the list while using (/or recently using/) the app while multi-tasking. I've missed so many text messages because I was watching youtube up above textra, having the conversation end so using youtube full screen and not getting any new messages while the screen is on.
As a stop-gap, I've enabled the notification sound/vibration to go off when the app is open. So I at least know that I have a message to check. -

For LG phones it is about adding just one line to AndroidManifest.xml before </aplication> tag at the end of file: <meta-data android:name="com.lge.support.SPLIT_WINDOW" android:value="true" />
I am surprised that this neat idea is after more than two years still waiting. Are there any technical difficulties?

I agree, this feature would be very helpful! I watch stuff on You Tube often and always have to stop my video to text someone something. Being able to "split-screen" between Textra and You Tube would be a genius feature!!

Yes please. It would really be nice to be able to write a quick text without disturbing other open apps. Like when waiting at a pokestop with attached lure, I dont want to miss the opportunity to catch a pokemon because im texting :(
There are alot of other instances aside from this. Example, when i find a promocode on the net and i want to send a quick text about it.
The other messaging apps i use have the multi-window functionality like aquamail and telegram. I think a lot of users would be happy about this. Thank you! -

Really the only main feature that the stock messenger on my Galaxy has that I want for Textra.

This is one of the only drawbacks to textra!

this is the only feature keeping me from using textra as my default app on my galaxy s5.
