I have been using this app for sometime with no ussyes. Recently it keeps freezing. I installed and reinstalled now it will not allow me to make it my default app. I'm a pro user and need some help

agreed! biggest pain in the ass not having textra have a box for make default texting app. going to use messenger now or kik

I have huawei p8 lite phone and this app don't work in my phone . I click on yes to make it as default app but still I can't send SMS from textra why is that ?

Despite turning off notifications in default messenger, and designating Textra as default both within the app itself and in Settings, every time I click my messenger icon, the view is back to an unusable default messaging app (white background with colored circles), with a grey banner at the top that reads:

"Textra is your SMS app
You can change this in settings"

So I have to tap that grey banner every single time I enter the app before I can utilize Textra. What gives?

App won't allow me to set as default even after going into the phone settings

Why I cant use this as default? In this case I can send message but I don't get messages from my pals displayed you gotta fix it
