    Phone/ Carrier:
    Alcatel Fierce 2 by Metro PCS
    Despite turning off notifications in default messenger, and designating Textra as default both within the app itself and in Settings, every time I click my messenger icon, the view is back to an unusable default messaging app (white background with colored circles), with a grey banner at the top that reads:

    "Textra is your SMS app
    You can change this in settings"

    So I have to tap that grey banner every single time I enter the app before I can utilize Textra. What gives?
