custom background

Ability to add your own picture as the background for in text and the list view separately. Also ability to do each contact with a different in app background. Go SMS already has this feature but their app has began using massive amounts of data.

    I would love to have this feature so much. Textra is so sorely missing in appearance customization. This plus the head icons in a conversation and I'd pay for the app.

    Would love it if Textra would work in conjunction with the themes available on the S6 such that the background for the design appears in Textra as well like it does the stock app.

    Totally agree with the majority of others on this matter. The free downloadable themes available for chompsms are awesome! But personally, the app itself is not. As a result, if textra had some themed backgrounds available, this would be a 10/10 texting app for me!

    I concur. I use to have this option on go sms and they took it away so I came back to textra and paid the ad free version. I would love per contact settings and have several friends that want the same. Thanks.

    Definitely! Several SMS apps can already do this, so why not Textra? Textra is an extremely powerful SMS app but its visual customization options aren't as versatile as other apps like Handcent or Chomp SMS.

    Definitely need to be able to use our own custom photos as backgrounds and not just colors.
