custom background

Ability to add your own picture as the background for in text and the list view separately. Also ability to do each contact with a different in app background. Go SMS already has this feature but their app has began using massive amounts of data.

    If you do this there will be no reason for people not to choose textra over things like go SMS or the stock messaging app.

    Yesss! Please! As a new user og Textra I Definitely love this app! But not being able to choose one of my personal photos from my gallery to use as a sms wallpaper? That should've been the first thing you updated about this app. I had that feature on my 2011 Model Blackberry, & that was almost 6 years ago! Not having this option will probably be the only deal breaker that causes me to go back to my stock sms app. Please bring us an update that has this feature! Why isn't 5,846 votes enough to convince you of what your app users want?!

    All white or all black background is very hard for me to see, I have cataract lenses & I need a picture in the background.

    I want this so bad. Tired of just viewing a plain black, grey, white background. Want to customize it so I enjoy coming to the app every single time

    Would be good to customise the back ground for each person/chat and if using a pic be able to make it 50% transparent.
    Also to customise notification sound for each person
