custom background
Ability to add your own picture as the background for in text and the list view separately. Also ability to do each contact with a different in app background. Go SMS already has this feature but their app has began using massive amounts of data.

Considered very carefully. Not a direction Textra wants to take as this would slow down the app and take it in a ‘bloated’ direction.

If this new feature is going to use more of my data, I don't want it and it don't need it. Textra is dammm excellent the way it is right now, don't need that feature at all period.

Funny how this is a place for people to suggest what they want but others are trying to convince people not to want it? If you don't want it don't use it if it ever becomes available. Simple as that. Please make this happen! It really is the only thing missing from textra.

If you want stupid crap like this option, then by all means leave this app and go experience the slowness of the other text message apps. The whole POINT of this incredible app is the speed and efficiency of its performance. Having this kind of customization crap would just slow it down and turn it into just another typical text messaging app. There's a reason iphone users do not have customization for their stock sms app: to promote maximum efficiency. And that's what this app is great at. This app feels great and is super efficient.

I used to like this app til I've realized the developers only review what they think is relevant to them. I was a pro user & have been using this for a long time. I've yet to see this change in any updates. So I'm now using Chomp SMS which is so much better, offers full customization as well as custom background. Bye Textra! Everyone, do yourselves a favor and download Chomp SMS :).

Are you able to tell the textra users if the background/screen color customize option is under review???? We would love to have this option. It's the only thing missing.

I love textra been using it since day 1 and i am a pro user.. How ever i just got my new phone and love that the stock app let's me use a custom photo as a background so until textra gets with the program i think i'm gonna stick to my stock message app plz update your running a lil behind ☺
