custom background
Ability to add your own picture as the background for in text and the list view separately. Also ability to do each contact with a different in app background. Go SMS already has this feature but their app has began using massive amounts of data.

Considered very carefully. Not a direction Textra wants to take as this would slow down the app and take it in a ‘bloated’ direction.

I would love for this to be possible. I know Chomp SMS and even GoSMS and Handcent allow custom backgrounds. So I don't see why Textra hasn't yet been able to give us that feature.

Honestly for an app that I have paid for to use pro, I am kinda surprised this isn't a feature. It's just a background. Could be as simply as a color or shading, or preset photos or gallery pics. Really, so many options, would like to see this happen.

Been a pro user for a while and still waiting on this. Even a customized color background would be great. Don't want to switch to another app for just this reason.

If you can, be sure to include transparent/opaque color options, similar to customizing taskbar you would see on windows taskbar personlization

Like I said on the higher voted suggestion, make a separate Pro app with customization features to appease people who want the original minimalist app and people who want custom background.

If anything, make a separate Pro app with this feature. Of people don't like extra features, at least give us an option to have extra features instead of going so minimalistic to serve one crowd. I love customization, and I'd get pro for this feature.

I too think this would be a fabulous option for this app. I am currently using this as my default app but only the free version as I'm seeing if it's one I actually want to pay for. Being able to have a custom background would be an addition that would seriously make me consider purchasing the full version.
