    I would like this feature as well. I have a friend who is on a different carrier so long messages are split. We frequently send each other long strings of text and when I get them my notification may go off over 10 times. He told me that on his iPhone, when multiple messages are received at once, it just vibrates one extra time to indicate there is more than one message. Something like that would be really convenient.
