    I believe I have the default theme in Textra (dark with blue/orange highlights) and there are some messages whose new/unread orange dot simply won't go away even after I review the entire thread. It makes the thread seem like a new message has come in, though none has.

    I use SnapLock and it appears that if I leave Textra message thread open, the earliest message on that thread keeps popping up as though it were a current notification when the screen locks itself. This has raised many a false alarm during my daily activities!
