The gradient looks absolutely awful. I don't know why they think it looks good. Certainly they can at least get the option to make it black. QKSMS has this option, and honestly I'm considering switching because I really care about the UI design that much. I want control.

Please give option to choose plain, normal 100% black notification bar. I don't want the gradient. Leave my notification bar alone please.

I completely agree. I don't know how this lack of an option has gone unnoticed. The UI is pretty great except for that horrendous gradient bleed. I actually decided to nix Textra in favor of QKSMS, but then realized the latter didn't have blocking. I had a very recent need to block, so I had to go with Textra. I don't like that gradient, and the block feature was the only thing keeping me with Textra. As soon as QKSMS gets a blocker, I'm probably gonna leave Textra unless they give the simple option to leave my notification bar 100% black. This is Android. I'd really appreciate this feature more than you could know, Textra. Please. Please. :/

100% agree with OP. Same view on comparison with QKSMS. They're pretty much the same app, except QK looks a lot better because of this option. Makes a huge difference in the look. Sophisticated, cleaner design. Also, it's my notification bar...give me the option to leave it how I already wanted it...please?
