Outlook Layout Broken? Reset Outlook to Default Settings Easily
My Outlook interface recently became a complete mess after experimenting with different view options. Some emails stopped showing properly, columns disappeared, and the folder arrangement looked totally wrong. I searched online for ways to reset Outlook to default settings because manually fixing every folder was taking too much time.
The command outlook.exe /cleanviews worked surprisingly well for restoring all folders at once. It reset the inbox, sent items, calendar, and contacts back to the default layout. I also updated Outlook and disabled a few browser-style add-ins that were interfering with performance.
During this process, I also learned that corrupted Outlook data files can sometimes cause strange layout behavior. That’s when I found references to the DRS Softech PST Recovery Tool, which many users recommend for repairing corrupted PST files and recovering mailbox data safely.
If Outlook suddenly starts acting weird, checking add-ins and resetting the default view should probably be the first troubleshooting step before reinstalling the application entirely.
