Split group sms thread
When you send a group sms message the recipient answers directly to you because he sees it as a standalone message.
So I think it would be convinient to have an option to split outgoing group message into each contacts' threads.

I must say that Sony's stock sms app has the best function for sending text messages to multiple recipients. It creates one thread for all recipients but also adds message/messages to individual threads automatically. By far the best solution I've experienced!

This is a BIG issue, BUT i do not agree that SPLITTING it is the optimal solution. I think a better solution would be to ALSO show each group message in any conversation with each of the recipients (more generally show in conversations with any sub group),
I have tried to add this as a separate suggestion here:

Yes just what people bellow are saying, it would be nice when I send it as a bulk not as chat, for it to ALSO appear in each of those persons outgoing messages. Also the future to be able to switch between bulk and chat (mms/sms) modes within the text message, or at least know which one is currently enabled, sometimes I forget to switch from bulk and end up replying to group chats using bulk, and never know about it, till I look in settings or someone replies separately indicating something is wrong. Then I figure out the group message was send as separate message to all separately but was not intended to be a bulk. Oops moment every so often... Thank you so much, so appreciate ability to post out comments and ideas here, I know coding is a challenging and time consuming job, that is so often underestimated and underappreciated. Thank you so much and God bless!

Please add this feature. Yes replies to a multiple contact thread can only go to you and not the group, but I would then like to see each contacts thread have the message, not a different thread.

This is exactly what I'm looking for! My friends/family and I don't really use the MMS group messages, and I hate it that when I send a text to multiple people the outward text isn't in each of their personal histories/threads. Makes it look like they're replying to nothing!

Really really needed... Copying /pasting the same message contact by contact is really messy but it's the only way to go unless you implement this true group SMS!

Yes this is Important, otherwise group messages is useless.

Being able to split sent group texts into different threads is one of the important features for me
1) it messes up my when I back up my sms messages by not putting it with the right contact and 2) it creates useless empty threads in the app -

Please implement this feature.

Textra admins, why will you never reply to this idea in any permutation? I'm probably going to delete Textra from my phone purely due to this MAJOR issue.

The only thing holding me back from using Textra full time (instead of evolvesms) is being able to split text messages to multiple people into individual messages.

This is really an important feature for me. Allow a text to multiple recipients to be sent either as a group text or several individual texts.

I miss this feature very much! I uninstalled Handcent for their push advertising and so far that's the only feature they had that I miss
