Desperately needed, SMS backup and restore is useless, it only covers what's in stock messaging app maybe 1000 messages but Textra has limitless (it seems) storage, so I have 30k plus message is one conversation but I cant copy it to my new phone.

Can someone least tell me how to copy the database over to my new phone, even if it's technical, there has to be a way to do it. Cause I dont wanna lose all those messages even if it's just a xml file or something on my computer.

Please implement either an internal backup/restore feature, or an option to re-sync the textra database in "reverse".

Please add this. I change ROMS often and would like an easy way to backup/import.

An export/import button would be amazing. I've tried many different SMS backup apps, and when trying to import them, they don't import mms properly.

I would love an export feature. I like to keep some conversations for record-keeping and feel like after awhile, 1000+ message conversations begin to bog things down.

This is also a feature I would like implemented in this app. Being able to export your SMS data when you need to reset your phone, then being able to restore it with ease and simplicity. I know there are separate apps out there built just for that, but it would be a big bonus if this app has it already integrated making switching from phones and ROMs a refreshing breeze. Please look into this guys.

I'd add that it would be a great differentiator for the app. I just like the memories, have a whole relation picture with some people in sms. And to change phone and get all messages it's something no one did right up until now. Would pay 5 bucks easy for such option (and yes, for an app price it's a lot for me but it's worth it!)

Heck I don't even need a formal backup button. Just an export option would be fine.

PLEASE Add this. To the developers of this app, please understand that there are legal issues here that entire families could depend on. The lack of this feature may cause me to never see my wife and kids again. I am very disappointed this feature isn't available. Please help as a matter of urgency.

This would be very useful in cases of harassment for legal reasons. Needs the option to Name, date and choose the contact from list. Timestamp for message send and receive.

Would really love to have this. I know you can use an app to backup Textra's data and you can backup the texts themselves from the stock messaging app, but it'd really be ideal to just export them directly from Textra.

A required feature along with backup / restore options for Settings too.
