Individual or Group Text toggle

The default Samsung messaging app has a great feature that allows you to check a box to send messages to multiple people as a group text or as individual messages. This is extremely convenient if you want to text multiple individuals, but not necessarily want everyone's response visible to each other. Having the option right next to the message field would make it easy to switch between the two modes.

    I use several different groups with Textra. I find several people not always same people, though) deleted from group each time I log on to one of the groups. Why is this happening? It's very annoying and a time waster.

    It is 2019 and the delay feature...9 seconds...really? Its midnight, had a thought..wanna ask a question in the morning and get 9 second delay. Ridiculous!
    Oh and send out bulk messages individually..still haven't perfected that yet?

    this is not COMPLETED please admin read this again.

    currently we can GET REPLIES as INDIVIDUAL OR GROUPS which is BULK SMS.

    But what we want is SENDING IT AS INDIVIDUAL SMS AS WELL,
    currently we SEND AS GROUP AND RECEIVE REPLY AS INDIVIDUALS.

    what we want is SEND AS INDIVIDUAL ALSO.

    Can't find that toggle to go from group to individual. Where is it?

    Going to settings everytime and changing modes (which I do frequently) is not the best way of implementing this feature. There needs to be a way to toggle when composing a message, either a visible checkbox or, at the very least, in the menu. Some people still have non-smartphones and no data.

    Thanks for the functionality in 3.28, BUT it is a bit complex in a NEW conversation.

    You need to type the message and then type BACK to save it as a draft, and then reopen the conversation. It works, but is not exactly intuitive

    Between the Person+ and the Exit-X there could be the usual vertical ellipsis, that could have an option to fix the recipients, and thus making it into an established conversation, and thus allow for this (or other) changes.

    @Gerald Yeah, I know the post is old, but it is only about a month ago people posted about this, so people do not realize that it is there...

    (Personally i had exactly the same issue, and even bothered support with it, and as I explained afterwards I believe that it is the leading texts on selecting the options that is the issue, they mentions REPLIES only. so the natural thing to do is clicking cancel and keep searching in vain. But once Bulk IS selected, it gives a much better text below.- but you have to GUESS that you should choose Bulk first, to get the explanatory text...)

    This post is over 2 years old. It was not a feature then. Also new people might not realize it because it is not as easy to configure as the Samsung app.

    Guys, you ARE aware that this option is already there, right?

    Settings, Group messaging Chat/Bulk
    (The texts offered are a bit confusing though, once BULK is selected a better explanation appears)

    This feature would be so helpful. I often send messages to 30+ on a soccer team then have to go back in settings and switch to MMS for group chats with friends. Such a hassle. The HTC Sense messaging app had this feature. I've yet to find another app that has it.

    I am constantly switching back and forth between SMS and MMS for this very purpose, and many times, after adding people to a group message and typing the message, I forget which way I currently have it set. This forces me to cancel the message, check the current settings, and then start my entire message over from scratch. A simple toggle switch available in outgoing messages would be absolutely awesome.

    Muting group conversation is already a feature that Textra offers. Select group message then at top select bell with line through it.

    I didn't know this was a function on other messaging apps, I've always thought this was a brilliant idea of mine! Please Textra, implement this! I'd love to have the option to jump between the two! Also, muting group conversations would be incredible! Love the app!
