  1. To somehow make it easier to scroll through a message while you are composing it. I find the current experience janky.

    I think allowing a way to hide the keyboard and actually review a message properly. Every time I touch a point that I want to scroll to, or insert the cursor, it jumps and Janks around and I can't see the cursor, or what I am writing. Ironing this experience out and allowing a way to hide the keyboard while scrolling through a long message, for the purpose of review prior to sending would be key stuff. Otherwise, you guy's kick ass. Great app, always improving!

  2. space bar.

  3. Possible Bugs with notifications

    I have found 2 possible bugs with Textra notifications:

    • Too many notifications coming in at once temporarily lock the UI thread.

    • Multiple "Cannot get MMS" messages tend to cause conversations to have persistent unread message notifications until the conversation is deleted.

    Let me expain my situation that has caused me to find these bugs. I cannot get sms or mms messages at my work (I am aware that this is an issue with my service provider and not with the app). Pretty much all day I get notices that Textra "Cannot get mms."

  7. Indicate the text message not reading like the iPhone system on the logo

    Give the same indication as the Apple system for the text message to know how many message are not read
    Could be à great idea for people where coming from iOS system

  8. An option when sending a group message for replies to come just to you or to the group. Verizon's text app has this and it's wonderful!

    When composing a text there is a toggle button for responses to you or responses to the group.

  9. Could you give a count (in brackets) of the number of SMS within a given thread?

    This is useful after using, say, SMS Backup and restore to validate the restore to a new handset. By comparing the values from the old and new handsets you can get some comfort by confirming a given thread is correct. This could be a switchable option. Note that some of the other SMS apps do this. Thanks.

  10. Ability to add an SMS text manually.Why? See below.

    Why would you want to do this? If you have sentimental data on an old handset, where there are no connection capabilities, then the only option would be to manually type the text into to a given thread. You would need to supply the date, time, message and whether sent or received. This is a nuisance I know but the only way to get sentimental data off such a handset. It can then be incorporated into the main thread as if exported. Perhaps only then can I finally get rid rid of my old Nokia 5310!

  11. Prevent accidental embarrassing texts

    Hello,

    Sometimes I text my girlfriend "I love you hon muah muah xoxo" very quickly. But then I realize I texted it to my boss, or to someone else who is not my girlfriend (because this was the last person I texted).
    This can be prevented if the app always takes me to the "contact selection screen/main screen" every time it opens. Then I would have to select a contact every time I launch the app.
    I hope it is easy to implement this option?

    tl;dr launching the app never resumes a conversation, and always brings you to the home…

    Now sone dms after send sound error Sending and look like not send. This problem has in previus version. but after next 2update has been problem fixed... Now in beta is same problem

    When in a group chat, is there a way for the contacts with assigned colors to show up in the thread? That way it's faster and easier to see who said exactly what? Thanks

  20. Please! Read message tones from Contacts

    There is a place in Android Contact list to specify message tones on a contact by contact basis. It's a centralized place. Implementation may require a "refresh" capability, and be overwritten by any Textra unique specification. Please utilize it.
