Why did the send/ attach photos functionality change? instead of clicking the photo button, selecting and hitting send, now I have to click, select, select again, click "choose" and then click "choose 1" again. then send. why did you change this??

Emoji Reactions To Images
Being able to add emoji reactions to text messages has been fantastic! But it'd really be nice to also be able to add emoji reactions to images.

please allow the use of any emoji for reactions instead of just 4-5. Google message allows this but I'd rather keep using textra. also ability to react to photos please.

Revert recent media selection changes
Is this the right forum for this? The recent update changed the way the user selects multimedia objects to send in an MMS. The new method of selecting the bubble on the image/video and then choosing the "Select" button is clunky and seems unnecessary. This method made sense when selecting multiple items to send, but it becomes a nuisance when sending a single photo. I request reverting this recent change, or at least allowing to the user to configure their experience and choose what behavior they prefer from the app.

ARCHIVE....P.L.E.A.S.E.
this app seriously needs an archive feature. I need to be able to move text messages I get from toxic people I want to ignore without blocking them. blocking them causes other problems. I need to be able to archive so I can hide it.
also just because this is one of the BIGGEST things this app is lacking

"Improved media selection" is not an improvement
The new media selection feature is more annoying than convenient. I liked being able to quickly add 1 image with 1 tap of the thumbnail.
The new feature is nice for adding several at once, but the checkbox (circle) is too small and annoying to hit right. Additionally, in the vast majority of cases, I'm only trying to send 1 photo at a time anyway.
I suggest defaulting to the old behavior with a setting and/or a live switch to enable multi-add. Maybe tap to select and hold to expand a thumbnail.

Media Selection
The new ability to see a picture full-screen before sending is nice, but I'm always triggering it accidentally when I already know what I'm sending.
This feature would be much better with a long press to view full size or similar instead of having to aim for the checkbox and adding a second click for one image.

be able to add reactions to images or gifs
when you tap on a text you can add a reaction emoji and i think itd be cool if you could do that for a gif/pic, maybe by having the option ehen holding down on the image for a second

Picture selection may 27th 2024 uodate
Please remove picture selection update from may 27th 2024. If I want to go into picture selection mode I will tap hold. I don't want to have to do additional steps to send one picture. This is windows Vista bad.

Can you also add these emoji responses ❤️👍👎😂❓‼️ to photos??
We can only do this for text replies. It would be great to do it for photos as well.Also!!! when responding to text with an emoji can we have the option to choose more than what you've used as a default? like could we pick any Emoji we wanted to respond back with? or maybe like the top 20?

Emoji reactions to text messages
Google text app allows the user to pick from the entire emoji catalog to react to a text message, that would be REALLY amazing if Textra could implement the same feature. Textra would then be 100% perfect!

Text Grouping
There's a feature that's missing, the ability to create groups. There's another messaging app that lets you create groups to put messages/contacts in. I sorted them by Family, Work, General. I found it very useful and a nice way to sort the messages. please?
