  2. group chats

    the group chat is not very effective. im having trouble with getting messages from everyone or deciphering who is sending the message. no bubble beside their message.

  3. Don't hold down microphone button to send voice messages.

    Holding down the small button to send a voice message is finicky and tedious. Whatsapp, Signal, and Google Messages all allow you to just swipe up & record without having to hold the button

  4. preventing thread deletions

    when deleting a text thread, ask "are you sure?" as many other applications and commands do

  5. schedule send by holding send button

    Bring up the scheduled send function by holding down the send button instead of having to go into the + menu to select scheduled send

  6. Scheduled Messages While Scheduled Messages While Sending Device Is Off

    Can you please add a feature that sends scheduled messages even if the device sending the message is off?

    Verizon Messages+ used to do this.

  9. more customization

    I love that we can change the colors, and there are many to choose from, but what about adding more chat bubble shapes, font styles, and perhaps the ability to change the background within the text thread? These would be fun upgrades 😊

  10. text to email

    Every other app allows you to send a quick text message to an email address as an sms. If you send a message of any size to gmail, it automatically covers it to an MMS, making reading the email a pain. This is completely unnecessary. Just keep it as an SMS message.

    Broken record here.... The very basic functions of any respectable texting app should include the ability to search for keywords/phrases within an individual conversation.

  12. delay sending messages

    allow message to be written but have an option to delay send to a set time e.g. 7am, 7pm etc.
    this would allow me to write a message at night but not send until the morning so I don't disrupt their sleep

  15. Chat Bubbles

    Pro subscriber here. Would love to have the option for chat bubbles like Google Messages has or Facebook Messenger (what Facebook calls "Chat Heads").

    Yes "Quick Reply" is a nice Textra feature but sometimes I miss notifications at the top of my phone. If when I received a message a chat bubble popped up off to the side akin to Facebook Messenger/Google Messages, I wouldn't miss it. Then I could also leave the bubble up on the side while doing other things in case I needed to send another message to that person instead of having to tap the Textra…

  17. Blocking option for dual SIM & +

    Currently the auto blocking option does not care about which SIM card the message is coming from. It should be possible to set blocking rule sperately for each SIM. Same for other SIM dependant option.

    the current search function returns all instances of a word/phrase from all contacts. the ability to search within messages from a single group chat and/or a single contact would be useful

  20. RCS messages...etc..

    There should be a RCS feature. Being able to see when the person is typing/responding back to your message. More customizable chat bubbles.
