I'd like an option to see SMS timestamp permanently. Not to slide left each time, its boring:)

Swjpe to close keyboard
The ability to swipe down from within a message and have the keyboard disappear would be excellent as sometimes the keyboard takes up too much space. You can press the back button to close the keyboard but it would be much more convenient /intuitive to close the keyboard with a swipe gesture

Ability to upload your messages to the cloud (eg Google) or save them into a file to the storage and import them.

date/time when viewing media
it would be nice when you are viewing pictures in the media album to be able to see the date/time it was sent in the info.

Group Blacklist
It would be great to blacklist a set of people at a time. For example, having a flag for contacts that you want blacklisted. When you decide to blacklist, all those people flagged can be blacklisted as opposed to going down the list. This would be very helpful in meetings or such places where you want to silence a group who frequently text but still be able to get notifications for others.

COPY TO SIM
Add copy to sim and retrieve from SIM option. Don't forget delete option for SIM messages.

Create new messages without typing phone number first
Now you must first enter the number before you can post a message.

3.00 Upgrade
I was in the process of upgrading to Pro when I saw the $3.00 price tag. I could have sworn it was recently $2.50 but if that was a sale then it's the saddest sale I've seen. I'd be willing to pay $1.50 - $2.00 for a texting app. I backed out and probably won't upgrade to Pro now.

keyboard plug in
it should have a keyboard plug in similar to an iphone keyboard or simple and fast like the texting app.

Always on Compatibility
The android's always on display shows you if youve any unread text messages or missed calls. Itd be neat to see Textra work with that system

Delete/Cancel/Undo/Stop Message option from Sender to Receiver.
The ability & option to cancel the message that, I am sending too the person I have selected.
For purposes like lets say you have sent a message intended for your buddy but, instead it has been sent to your mother.
I am sure a lot of textra users have wished that they could have cancelled or stopped those messages from sending or being sent. I know I am guilty of it..
Please Textra add a cancel msg, stop msg, undo msg, or delete message button to have ability to have one of those options to do so before the…

Send group sms as sms. I can't understand why it is converted to MMS.

just a suggestion
if possible, can your team build a keyboard to support the app. I love Textra and the Google keyboard is great but the way that the emoji layout is setup with your app I would implemented with other apps I use . Also if possible please have split view supported with the app ,I hate having to change the default SMS while in split screen view on my galaxy s7

Auto keyboard up
the one feature I'm missing that keeps me from moving to textra is the auto open keyboard in conversation toggle -- so simple but such a huge time saver!

Built-In gif Support
In the Google keyboard there is an option to add gifs to a message. However it does not work in Textra, you have to use the "+" icon in the message bar to insert gifs, which means you have a limited selection of gifs to choose from. It would be great if the built-in gifs were available.

On nougat, there is built in quick reply, so take either that away or the one in the app
