  1. Delete Messages

    When on the main screen that shows all your messages, you should be able to swipe left or right to delete all messages from a single contact. There could also be an undo prompt that shows up on the screen until the next action is taken in case the delete was accidental. Having to confirm the delete is kind of annoying. The way the gmail app lets you swipe to delete is preferable .

  2. Auto Retrieve

    Please add a feature in settings to disable auto retrieve. This will allow those of us with limited cell service (wifi calling) to download MMS at a later time.

  3. Capture image in different modes

    I appreciate that I can take pictures from front and rear camera, but it's always wide-screen mode. I want 4x3.

  7. Jump to photo in the conversation

    In Google Messenger you can view your media/photos and then choose to jump to the messages at the spot in the conversation where the photo was sent. I love that feature and wish Textra had it!

    Ok this is pretty simple. Like IOS has 3 little dots to show when a person is typing, you should have that as well !

  11. Why do pics send differently

    When I send my husband pic from textra, he cannot save it (He uses stock app on Google pixel 2). If I send it via my stock app, he can save it. What is different?

  12. Minor glitch with notifications for specific peoole

    I can set notification sounds for specific people and those settings are saved if I delete the conversation. However, it goes back to the default settings for whether or not the messages appear on the lock screen or if you want their content hidden. It is obviously keeping the sound preference for that person regardless of whether or not you keep the conversation. It would be great if it kept all the changes.

    We definitely need a confirm that we want to delete all messages.
    It is way to easy to delete all the messages. I have accidentally deleted all my messages twice now. 😡

  16. Forced Display?

    When I run Textra my phone's touch menu does not minimize like it would in games, where I have to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to pull the menu up. If Textra could force this menu closed when the keyboard is up, it would save SO much frustration when typing. As it stands when trying to use the space bar, the phones menu closes everything out because that function is directly below the space bar and I have huge thumbs. Otherwise, I love Textra!

  17. My idea is incorporate AI into it.

    Have an AI similar to google assistant and/or Mei that could learn even simple tasks or your characteristics or routines and you would blow every other messaging service/app away

  18. see number of message recipients in summary

    it would be great to be able to see the number of recipients in the summary without clicking into a text. other messengers achieve this by listing the first couple of recipients followed by a + and the number of recipients. this makes it easier to find my larger group text threads without clicking into a bunch of threads.

  19. revert back to my list of messages.

    after sending, reading, or deleting a message I would like to revert back to the list of conversation messages. Currently it takes me out of the app and I have to open it back up to get back to my list of conversations
