  1. notification setting

    Hi, Since I first installed textra, several years ago, there has been one glaring issue. One that has been complained about hundreds of times by hundreds of users.

    The only delay between notifications of new email is two minutes. From a user interface standpoint, this is idiotic. From the standpoint of other textng apps, this is unprecedented.

    How is it possible that the developers would ignore all of these requests for so long? How is it possible that this oversight wasn't repaired as soon as it was brought to their attention?

    I cannot fathom how such an obvious mistake has…

  7. Convert Apple Maps address/link to Google Maps

    When someone using Apple Maps sends their location via text, it sends a contact.vcf I think. It would be great if it could read the maps.apple.com link within the contact and make a clickable Google Maps link.

    Right now, I have to import it as a contact, go to the contact, copy the link, paste it into Google Maps, then remove everything before the longitude and latitude.

  8. Option to add Signature Timestamp Date/Time to MMS messages or SMS Messages

    During this COVID-19 crisis, I have noticed that some group chat (MMS) messages are delivered after significant delay. I suspect it is due to high network congestion.

    It would be helpful if we could set up Textra so that we could turn on signatures for MMS (or SMS) individually and then use some type of "block code" to insert the local day/time into the bottom of the message.

    For example, I could configure my MMS signature as:

    Sent on: [dayOfWeek] [hh:mm tt]

  11. Groupchat Icons

    There should be an option to change the icon for a groupchat. This would be a good way for individual users to customize their local display of their app on their system. I saw a Reddit post on this dating back 3 years. Today is 3/26/2020. It is clear that people want this feature.

  14. Option to Add Wallpapers to the App UI

    Please add the option to add/set wallpapers as app UI colour scheme and in to the background of message threads and the individusl, message threads. Also the option to set transparency for the UI and message/thread backgrounds.

    Instead of just using the Sim Number on dual sim devices, please also add the option to choose along with the current option to choose Sim Number 1, 2, also add the option to choose Network Name instead and the option to have icons such as Home, Work/Office, Personal etc…. similar to Samsung Messaging app that allows iconisation on dual sim devices (inside…

  17. Blacklist or hide messages from non-contacts

    Have an option to only allow messages from people in your contacts list. Others go to blacklist or spambox or something like that.
