Retrieve messages
I have had to switch between texting apps before if I wanted to retrieve messages bc they were deleted on my Textra app. textra wont retrieve any messages used on another app(VZ messages). please make this an option so I am not forced to go between the 2 apps to get information

Ideas For Notification Icons
Here is a short list of additional notification icons that it would be great to see added to the existing icon choices:
Car, Truck, Plane, Bicycle (please!), Boat, Motorcycle, Dog, Cat, other animals, Cell Phone, Laptop, Computer, Chef-Police-Fire Fighter Hat, Golf Ball or Golf Clubs, Tennis Racket, Football, Soccer Ball, Basketball. I have a use for 90% of the above. And I think others would too. Thanks for looking at my suggestion!

why this is not a standard option for all communications is silly.... (forward/copy to/send to/sync messages from xxx/all to my other phone number or device with textra installed.) SYNC w/ Style so don't have 2 instances of app with no continuity

fix your landscape
fix landscape post idea name and email submission box to afford intuitive submit button access and visibility. cause mine only worked in portrait pussy.

first off I love the app. would be nice if could delete without pressing trash can twice. and also once deleted it would automatically go back to text messages.

Provide option to auto block email addresses
Provide option to block all texts from email addresses. Blocking a single text from an email address is not enough as these texts come from different addresses each time, similar to spam calls.

Timed Mute
An option to mute a conversation for a set amoint of time that automatically un-mutes that conversation after the time has passed.

Identify latest message sender
The text list shows contact name and the most recent message in the conversation. I'd like some visual distinction to see if that last message was sent by me or someone else.

Remind me later
When swiping away a notification for a new incoming txt that you cannot read/respond to right now, instead of simply disappearing, an option to "remind you later?" of the txt comes up, similar to "snoozing" an alarm or setting an alarm for a time. Options could be "remind me in 30 mins, 1 hour, 3 hours" etc and can be customised or "remind me at 5pm" and the time could be set to user preference

Send to email revision
The new method is fine except it doesn't include the phone number of the person that sent the text (as the old mething did)

auto shorten urls / web links
web addresses are often longer than 140 characters and are split into multiple messages, rendering the link useless. could the app detect and replace long links using tinyurl or a similar service?

Disable emergency alert sound option
Disable amber alert sound for incoming amber alert but have vibrate or notification only instead
