photo chooser still awful
the July 10 2024 / version 4.75 update still does not fix the photo picker. we still have to tap individual tiny circles instead of anywhere on the photo thumbnail. and now the only way to not have to click "choose" is if we are immediately sending the picture. what if I want to type, schedule message, etc.? you make us have to tap the tiny circle and then tap "choose." WHY??? this is so much worse for people with disabilities. and it is frankly clunky and annoying. please revert to 1 tap to choose and long press to preview.

back up messages
add at a option where you can back up the text messages. and restore them as well.

Smartwatch App
An actual app for Samsung smart watches would be great, not just notifications. With Samsung and other messaging apps leaving this would be the perfect time for you to take over. Those who have a smartwatch know that you need the same app for each device for it to work (because you need both apps to be the default ones on each device). I get that you have a notification feature on the watch but it's not the same. Most of us are going to be stuck with Google Messages which is terrible compared to Textra. I don't care about RCS if the app sucks and customization is near non-existent on the app. I've seen posts from years ago from people asking for this. It's 2024 going on 2025, it's time Textra.

Have a way to refer back to messages
It would be nice to type a few words and it take you back to the messages with those words, like Facebook Messenger has. My mom passed away and there are text messages between me and my son that I don't want to lose, instead of just locking them, which doesn't do much good.

Add more emojies for received messages
Give us more options for quick responses to received messages. The ones you offer do nothing. A heart ♥️ is the only one worth having. You need one for a smile ☺️, cry 😢, sad 😔 heart broken 💔 laugh 😂 etc. I think you get the point.

HEADS UP - MALWARE ERASE
Received a political fundraiser text with a photo. When I deleted it, it seemed to glitch before disappearing. A SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY notification appeared from Malware Bytes as I have "text protection' enabled. Everything in my KEEP file that was not LOCKED was erased. GREAT! I am prepping to write a book. There were tons of notes and sample writings in my KEEP file. All are now gone. LOCK everything in your KEEP. I am so angry I could burst into flames.

Filter for Unread Messages
Is it possible to create a filter so only unread messages are shown? Or an option to keep unread messages at the top, after pinned messages? I'll often see the first line, but don't have the time to respond / converse, so I leave it unread to go back to later. But later, it ends up WAY down the list. I already have my most important contacts/conversations pinned so most of the visible space is already taken.
