  1. Allow users to set a custom send sound.

    The in-app Play Send Sound doesn't work for me; it's much delayed. Would be nice to set a sound that works best.

  2. square contact photos look so much better. please provide the option.

    If it ain't broke, then don't fix it. Square contact photos looks so much better than circle ones. Of course, that is a matter of opinion, so please provide the option, square or circle.

  4. Time stamp and date

    I want every message to show the date and time under each message. I dont like having to scroll to the top to find the date or swip to the left to see the time. I want it simple and straight forward "right there" under every message like every other SMS app. OR i want the option to set it that way.

  5. Snooze function on text messages

    You can choose 'Later' on the Quick Reply menu to mark the text as unread. I propose the idea of 'Snooze' - the message is marked as read and remains read until a predetermined date/time or time length (eg. tomorrow at 6 or 20 mins from now), after which a new notification pops up.

    This feature would be similar in nature to Google Inbox's snooze, which I find myself using very often.

    To take this feature a step further, linking a calendar event with the snooze time would be neat. Eg. if you snooze Jim's message to tomorrow at 8,…

    The default android text app lets you add a custom image to the text window background. It would be awesome if Textra allowed you to do that as well.

  9. Archive the text messages

    when I have a conversation that I need but don't need it immediately I want to archive so that I can view it later rather than deleting it. that way it decreases the number of conversations ok my screen

    I would love to see unread messages stay at the top. I get so many messages some I don't respond to immediately. it would be a great reminder if these were always at the top instead of getting lost in their shuffle.

  12. Pinch to Zoom Text

    Pinch to zoom text. HTC utlizes it in their messaging app. Will allow you to zoom in and back the text bigger. When you zoom out the letters become smaller. Works great if you need a screenshot of a text message and need to shrink up the amount of information you can capture in the screenshot.

    Messaging over a WiFi network instead of a cellphone network. I never have service at my house and I want to use tetra but I'm forced to use Verizon message+ app because you can send messages through WiFi instead of a cell network

    I keep getting spam group texts from email addresses and having to constantly blocklist, I'd like to just block them entirely please.

    Sometimes, when a short message is recieved, it can't be read and I must scroll up the popup window to make it visible
