Customize Vibration Settings
I used to be able to customize the vibration settings of incoming notifications, but can't any more! Would love to have that back

More Obvious Group Chat Indicator
Sometimes I will accidentally reply to a text message not realizing that it is a group chat instead of an individual chat. Perhaps there is some way to make it abundantly obvious that a message is a group chat. For example, perhaps the message title could be prefixed with "Group Chat: " and then the list of names/numbers.

Group Dividers or Section Dividers
I'd like to see an option to add multiple Group Dividers or Section divider.
This would allow users to add people or phone numbers to a group like "Family" "Friends" "Work" "Spam" or "Payment Alerts".
That way it is more organized and I can see all my family grouped together, then a new divider header for Work and see all my work people grouped together.
Even if that number has been deleted from the main menu, when a new text comes in, it will automatically filter into their respected categories.

"Hide Message" Option
An option to hide any messages you don't want shown in your texts, without deleting them from your message history.

Update emojis
I've been waiting for the "hand hearts" emoji to be added and it's still not available 😭 I don't know whether that's an iphone or Android thing (I have a Samsung) but if you could add this, & other up-to-date emojis that would be awesome!

Report Spam Numbers
Wen adding numbers to your block list, it would be great to be able to report them as spam too, and have textra forward that info to someone, or make a spam filter with the info based on key words.

Double-tap reacts with thumbs up 👍
When you double tap a message, Textra should add the thumbs up 👍 reaction to that message. Double tapping a second time should remove it. All other reactions should remain available using the existing method.

Hide Conversations
The ability to hide, or lock as private, conversations with specific contacts in the list.
For example, my 10 year old son uses my phone when he is with me to text his mom and cousins, and I don't necessarily want him to be able to read some of the other conversations between me and my buddies or my gf.

Group Blind Messages
The ability to send a text message to a large group of people without the recipients being able to see who the other recipients are.
For example I am sending out a Christmas text to several people in my phone but I do not want everybody in the text group to see each other.

! PROTECT TEXT THREAD !
Looong time textra user. I've accidentally swiped and deleted an entire text thread before. There needs to be a safety protect or lock option so that important text chats can't easily be deleted.

Being able to filter and block the ceaseless begging from political campaigns would be a great start.
Next Step: Offer us a curated list of terms that serves as a spam filter we can opt into.

Sort into categories
Create tabbed navigation with categories automatically sorting normal texts, reminders, authentication codes, automated messages, etc into a category each.

Trash
Add a trash or recycle folder to allow for accidentally deleted messages to be recovered. Stock android messaging keeps for 30 days or allows for manually emptying the bin.

don't save images from untrusted contacts
if I immediately block a contact because it's political spam, I shouldn't later find images from that spam on my phone. I only want to save images from people I know.
