  1. Option to get rid of the circle/contact photo in conversation list

    Your messaging app would be perfect in my opinion if there is an option to get rid of the circle/contact photo that appears next to a person's name in the conversation list. Windows phone messaging is the only one so far that gives that sleek look, no distracting images, just the contact's name.

  5. Call option on swipe

    Option to swipe message right for call contact and left for delete message. And vis versa. Right now it's left for call contact and right for delete message. Would like a option to choose.

    I use the current setting to display only mobile contacts. However when doing such I can not share any contacts saved other than mobile. I would like to share #'s I have saved under work.

    On the message screen under the time section (when you swipe) it should display a circle for pending and not yet completely sent messages, then a check mark for a completely sent message.

  9. Manually edit custom vibration patterns

    The custom vibration implementation so far is pretty nifty, but it needs a more fine grained, detailed control. It would be easier to get the exact pattern a user is looking for if they started by entering it the way it is now, then transitioned to a textview to set the timings exactly how they want them.

    Alternately, if you want to do a bit more work, some form of slider with tabs at the beginning and end of the vibrating segments that the user can move would probably be a bit more user friendly, but personally I'm cool with…

  10. Option to mute selected conversations or group chats

    In verizon messages + app, there is a wonderful option to mute selected conversations so that they remain silent until unmuted, while still keeping your phone volume on normal. This is especially helpful when you're included in a large group chat and your friends are all going nuts on the feed, but you don't want to hear your phone beep every thirty seconds with a new addition to the conversation... Putting your phone on silent works but I often forget to put it back to normal and then miss important calls, etc.

    The emojis from Android can be way different than the apple emojis so it only makes sense to have apple emojis be an option.

    It would be nice to have the ability to use a URL shortening service inside composing a text message. Ideally a person would type/paste in a long url, then select an option to shrink that url, and then the long url would be replaced with the shortened version.

  16. Auto response to blacklisted numbers

    I would like to see a feature that allows you to automatically send a response to blacklisted numbers. Something to the effect of, "number has been blocked" or even, "SMS has failed, please check the number and try again." It would be best if the auto response came from Textra or some generic 6 digit number and not your personal phone number.

  19. Create visual groups in in conversation list. This way you can split your contacts into personal and business and avoid making embarrassing

    Visual groupings- be nice to create a divider in the first app window where you see your text contacts and split them up between business and personal if you use your phone for both. This way your able to organize your text conversations and not make a mistake sending a possible embarrassing text to a biz associate. Look something like this:

    Some kind of divider and be able to rearrange contacts within those dividers. Great, app guys thanks a ton!
