  1. is there any way i can get deleted messages back?

    A friend of mine deleted our messages so that someone wouldn't see them and little did he know I had messages from like 2 years ago. Is there any way to retrieve them?

  3. Use system single/group contact notification tone.

    In the standard android contact app, you can set message notifications for individuals or for groups. Any chance Textra could (by default) use the system setting for a contact's notification sound?

  4. Compatibility with Agent

    The Agent app states that Textra inhibits access to text messages (for reading messages out loud while driving). Can that be fixed?

  5. Add call feature by holding the phone up to your face

    In the default messaging app if I have a conversation up on screen and then hold the phone up to my ear my phone will auto dial the person I was texting.

  6. Fairly serious MMS reception issue

    I was recently sent an MMS. I have sent and received countless of them before but this one is is special because it does not appear anywhere. Textra occasionally says it has repeatedly tried and failed to receive it, which which I already know because the unread count on the Homescreen notification overlay keeps going up (like into the 40s and beyond, probably, except my phone died then because of the damage the constant attempts are doing to my battery life).   11. No sound when screen on

    I'd like an option to disable notification sound and vibrate when screen is on. LET is fine I guess but no sound/vibrate would be nice.

  12. Option for spell check entire message

    Option to spell check the entire message before sending. Will help with overlooked incorrect automatic word inserts and longer txt with extensive editing. Eliminate resends of minor corrections or avoid embarrassing goofs.

    Swiping to the left should allow the notification to stay in the status bar but hide the floating notification.

  16. Ability to disable auto retrieve because of mms malware virus

    I was warned via my security app that there is an issue with android phones being I fected with malware through being sent a video file that auto loads to the phone when received. On most messaging apps you can disable this feature, I cannot find a way to disable this on textra.

  18. Always show starred contacts at top of search list

    When searching for contacts when composing a new message, always sort alphabetical but slow starred contacts at top of list.

    For example I have 5 contacts named Tom
    Tom A
    Tom B
    Tom C
    Tom D *
    Tom E

    As Tom D is starred, always show at start of list when searching for "Tom"

  19. Ability to reset recent used emojis.

    So far, I've seen a lot of people wanting an option to reset recent used emojis.

    It's inconvenient/annoying that us users cannot reset recently used emojis.

    For example, if a user was messing around spamming emojis, the emojis would show up in "recently used" tab and it would stay there.

    It's kind of annoying to look at and it looks messy.

    Please consider a reset button for "recently used" emojis.
