Text Emoji
Incomming text emojis like :-), *-), B-) etc. stay as text and will not be transfered to emojis. The same happend by typing text emojis.
Text emojis let the SMS be small.

Message count should be next to the contact name in conversation list.

Unique repeat notification sound
Have the option to choose a different sound for the repeat notification than the initial notification. That way you'd know it's a notification of an existing message and not a new one message.

Different colors for sim cards
It would be nice to be able to set different colors for sim card symbols. I never remember which sim card is in slot 1 and which in slot 2, but I know that orange is my first sim and blue second.

iMessage compatibility
It would be nice if you could include text reactions. It would be nice to be able to react with a thumbs up, thumbs down, etc when I'm texting my friends who don't use an iPhone.

Create calendar events from text messages
Would it be possible to create a feature that will allow you to take a text message and create a calendar event or appointment from it?
I do service work for a living and quite often my customers will send me a text message requesting assistance with their products. the ability to create an appointment from a text message would be very handy.

Sending messages with Samsung gear
I have a Samsung gear s2 and I love it. I have textra for my galaxy s7 and I love it. Unfortunately, I can't send text messages with the gear. I can only reply to them. If you could figure out a way to make my gear work better with textra I'd be overjoyed. Keep up the good work :)

Do not mark as read when notification is dismissed
A message should not be marked as read when the notification is dismissed. Sometimes user dismisses a notification just to hide its content or maybe just to see what is under it. There is already an idea open for adding a "Mark as Read" button to the notification. I think this idea is related to that.

SMS fail without explanation with accented letters
It's very frustrating and confusing when textra throws an error message saying your SMS has failed and to try again without any explanation as to why it failed. The reason it was failing was because I had used an e with an accent over it ---> é
I don't really care if I can't send accented text, but don't just reject the text and not tell me why. That's an easy fix. Instead of "message failed, try again" make it "message failed because you cannot send text with accents. Please remove these characters and try again."

Navbar color options
Being able to customize the color of the Navbar on newer versions of Android would be a wonderful feature to have, it would make Textra even prettier!

Mute All
I would like an option to not get any type of message alerts for a specific time, or a switch to turn them off until you turn them back on (or both?}. Sometimes you need a break from people while you still need your phone on.

Option not to show message preview on Message list
Option to display message preview or not on message list screen or not. Keeps prying eyes from seeing anything but the icon and name of the sender and not the last message sent or received. That way the user can decide whether to open the thread or not

Ability to attach audio files
Some SMS apps allow you to attach audio files, it would be nice if textra could allow that since it is better than other SMS apps in most every other way

Folders for Conversations
While I love the addition of the ability to pin conversations to the top, I would like to put them in folders. My business contacts are currently awash within the sea of friends, then there's family…and if we haven't spoken in months, scrolling through to find someone (who maybe I don't want in my contacts but may want to communicate with some time) is challenging. If I could put them in a folder, the search would not take nearly as long. Thanks!
