  1. Pre-defined messages

    I am a ride share driver (Uber) and would like to see a way to store 2-3 predefined text messages which can be quickly sent as ride requests come in. This feature would save from having to text and drive at the same time

  2. scheduled messages

    It would be nice if messages scheduled to be sent later were not kept on the home screen but under another tab so you can keep all messages on the home screen cleaned out. Thanks

  3. Choose an image for group messages

    Allow images to be chosen for the contact image on group chats or an option to tile the participants' contact picture (like before), in addition the new group chat color theme.

  4. Custom Theme Colors

    The addition of an RGB slider to select custom theme colors would be most welcome. This would also allow users to achieve a 'pure black' theme.

  5. Message bubbles

    pls make a simple one. black borders and white back ground. the current version only has gray fill and black borders. the white color of bubble does not have borders. it will be very simple and sexy if you implement this choice.

  6. transparency for text bubbles

    adjustable transparency slider setting for text bubble customization. at maximum transparency, only the text would show, appearing as if there was no bubble. at minimum transparency, text bubbles would like as they do currently

  7. Message box margins/padding

    The vertical padding between sent messages and received messages and between several sent messages is quite large making the conversation look bulky and wasted space. while the large padding does help readability it would be nice to be able to customise this so we can fit more messages without scrolling the screen.

  8. Emergency Contacts

    Would like to see a option to have messages from certain contacts over ride system privacy/sound settings and sound ringtone.. i.e. I have my family on my favorites list to ring through when on do no disturb but i have a specific contact that I would like to ring through no matter what the phone is set to..

    Add an option to set a Background image like WhatsApp Wallpaper in which we can set a wallpaper in any specific Chat. it would be great for me and others :-) ;-)

  12. Notification Style - Repeat Notifications

    Further customize repeat notification feature. More flexibility with the repeat interval - I find the 2 min interval annoying. Less frequently would be better. Also, allow us to select a different repeat notification sound so I don't think I'm getting multiple messages when it's the only one, constantly repeating. I like the app but this is a deal breaker for me and I'll likely will return to the app I used previously.

  13. Emailing Forwarded Pictures

    Hello!

    I happened to run in a situation where I wanted to email myself a picture I received in a text message for work purposes.
    I: Highlight the photos, click triple dot icon, share as email, clicked Gmail, and there the email was all set.

    It then doesn't send the actual picture though. It sends:

    Conversation with zelklen (+1-000-000-0000)

    [3/22/17 2:24 PM] zelklen: You received a picture.

    For privacy, and sake of saying it, the number is replaced with Zero's to keep personal information confidential.

    It sends the text notification that the phone would see to notify receiver a picture…

    Include an option that will allow users to use their device default (or system) heads-up notification. Not all users like Textra's own heads-up (tap to reply) notification.

  17. Backing up messages

    An option to backup all messages on google cloud automatically would be wonderful.
    Whenever we restore our google account on some other device we may get them all synced via cloud. Plus, this will also allow me to have same account on multiple devices with my messages always synced across.
    The synced messages may be marked specially to avoid confusion of sim and stuff.

  19. Galaxy S8, AND S8+ accommodations.

    the Galaxy S8 launches tomorrow. this app needs to accommodate the aspect ratio for the tall screen. I'm on mine now and the app doesn't reach all the way to the top to show off Textra's interface.
