have a way to back up messages
I've seen this in other apps, can you possibly make it available to back up messages? because I've changed phones a few times in the past few years and I hate losing some messages from important people. it would even be worth paying a little more money if that were an option.

Change contact name as shown in Textra
To have the ability to change the name of a contact as displayed within Textra, or else display the "Phone number type" (Mobile, Home, Work, etc.) from Android contact information.
I have several contacts with two phones and distinguishing between personal or work phone numbers is difficult without creating a new, separate and unique Android contact in order to distinguish properly between the two within Textra.5 votes -
Copy option for OTP based messages
There should be a way to copy message directly from the notification . Like for the messages containing OTP or digit codes.

Lock out second sim
I have a dual sim phone. The 2nd sim is strictly data only. I never want to use it for sms. Occasionally I bump the selector by accident and switch to sim 2. It would be great if I could lock out that second sim somehow.

Merge Threads
To have the option of merging the messages from one phone number thread to another.
Example: Your friend gets a new phone number and you want to merge the messages received from the old thread to the new thread with the new number.

Option to Expire Messages
It would be nice if there was an option to delete messages after a certain period of time, such as "30 days" or "3 months".
This would be useful to keep the data size of your messages down as well as to provide a time amount of extra privacy.

Hide or Delete service SMS
I'm didn't find any app here, that can hide, delete or place all service sms ads in one place (a folder or something), or don't notify me for these unwanted sms.

Create an option whereby a contact's or multiple contacts' texts can be setup to receive auto-reply sms or mms for any reason and for any determined timeframe

Bold Unread Messages
It would be awesome if you could bold the unread messages on the conversation screen. Sometimes it's hard to tell if you have an unread message because there's nothing to make it stand out besides the ring number.

highlighting pinned texts
First, I love Textra. Thank you for being awesome. Second, I have a lot of pinned text threads. It can be a challenge to scroll to where the pinned threads end and other threads begin. The thumbtack is helpful, but blends in with the other text. It would be helpful if I can highlight pinned threads differently than the unpinned threads, so I can quickly see where my pinned threads end when I look at my list. Maybe a accent color for the thumb tack, or a different background color. Thank you for letting me submit my idea!

app forwarding for full addresses
just like for phone numbers but for addresses as well. to tap it and it automatically open up Google maps . that would be amazing

Separate Notifications for Unknown #s
in addition to separating unknown numbers into a separate folder (go vote for that!) it would be helpful to have separate notification settings for numbers if I have matching contacts for vs I don't. I'll need a way to still easily see texts from unknown numbers (2FA, new contacts) but generally this doesn't need the same level of notification. and I hate being interrupted by spam texts!

tabs for texts ?
user can enable or disable and can have texts in groups. work/friends/etc. this way you can keep all your texts. but not get lost if you keep dozens and dozens of active conversations like I do.
