  1. Faster backspacing

    Would be a great enhancement to make it pick up speed when you hold down the backspace key. Avoid making it go into "hyper delete it all" after 2-3 seconds.

  2. In App Video Sending

    I think you guys should add the capability to send video in app instead of having to send it via gallery. It becomes troublesome to have to always go to gallery to send video.

    can you incorporate a setting to export blacklisted numbers and then import them if we have to install the app again due to any reason.

  6. Choose your own most frequently used emoji to be "pinned" at the top of the emoji menu.

    Currently, at the top of the emoji menu is a section with your "most recently used emojis". While this is a really great feature to have, it would be more beneficial to me if I could select which emojis I want pinned at the top of the emoji menu. There are about 20-30 emojis that I use the most, some of which are buried pretty far down in the menu. Being able to choose which emojis I want to stay at the top would allow me to text faster and more efficiently, as I wouldn't have to waste time repeatedly…

  7. Can't add attachments

    I have recently installed Textra, frustrated by my inability to add more than one photo to a text message in the native messaging app on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Now, despite numerous discussions about it in various forums on the net, I find I cannot add attachments to Textra messages. The '+' button generates a screen asking me to change the permissions for the app to allow 'draw over other apps'.   8. Improve video quality

    Taking a video inside the app has bad quality, but video on the regular system camera looks fine. Maybe Textra could open the built in camera app to take videos and pictures with, instead of trying to use the tiny screen camera in Textra.

  9. photos

    -ability to scroll through photos you've sent/received from a person (can do this on Samsung app, iPhone, etc)
    -photos should not rotate in the app
    -photos should save to storage when you take photos directly thru app (or at least be an optional setting)

    When you send a MMS, Textra turn on mobile data just for send MMS and when it's send, Textra turn off. It's simple

  13. enhance scheduled messages

    love scheduled messages. but what if the receiver texts you before your scheduled message gets sent? your scheduled message might be out of context or inappropriate. allow the sheduled message to be aborted if the received sends a message in the interim.

  14. Garmin fenix 3 smart notifications

    It would be great for text messages to appear on the smart watch without having to press a button to read the message. What it says on the fenix 3 when I receive a text message is the senders name and "1 unread message".

  16. Rename Single Chat Message

    While having the ability to rename a group chat message is extremely helpful, the ability to do the same with an individual (one) recipient would be of equal value. I frequently receive messages from a "number" and would benefit being able to put a name to it to recognize the next incoming text. Thanks for the consideration.

  17. group message icon toggle

    group messaging is great for some things. it would be nice to have some sort of icon to show whether the message is a group chat or not. also a toggle to change the setting quickly would be great. i have to go through the settings for each message to see what type of message the conversation is currently set to.

  20. text to email addresses

    I brought this up before but it's been awhile. I'm hoping you'll incorporate this....

    currently, if I start entering an email address (that's associated with an entry in my address book), Textra is not able to find that email address, so I have to toe the whole address in.

    I often send a "text" to personal and work email addresses. I'm sure others do this as well. Please add support for this feature. It's long overdue.
