I would like the message bobbles to expand so that they full up the with of the screen when containing more than one line of text.

Option to dismiss notifications after sending reply from the notification
The default behavior for replying within a notification in Android P leaves the notification after sending. If this can be overridden by developers, it'd be nice to have the option to dismiss notifications on replying

Access custom prediction list
It would be quite handy if we could access and edit the custom dictionary in the app. That way, we can easily add or remove words, names, etc. The idea stems from the fact that "tk" has been stuck in mine for over a year, and no amount of long-pressing to remove has actually worked yet. It auto-corrects my "to" to "tk" on occasion, and a straightforward method of removing that option from the list would be supremely helpful.

Option to hide reactions
Have an option to hide text message reactions to clean up all the clutter from iPhone people. This would be any message that starts with (Liked ") or (Laughed at ") etc.

Bouncing bubble chats animation
Add a little bouncing animation between the bubble chats while scrolling up and down the conversation, like ios animation style effect when in the chat

Option to only choose dark colors for contacts.
When I use the option to auto-theme contacts, the colors chosen are a strange mix of dark and bright colors. I'd prefer a way to limit the colors to only darker colors or only brighter colors.

sync to stock messaging
We have the option to sync from stock messaging, but not to stock messaging. The reason for this is for people like me that don't have all of the messages in the stock messenger because we've used textra for a while and titanium backup to restore our textra messages for a while, but are now moving to a different, unrooted phone. This way, we could sync all of our messages to the stock messenger then use a third party app to actually back the messages up.

group message sent delivery / receipt status
when individidual messages sent to a group, indication is needed ro whom failed send with retry option , sent and receipt status of other individuals so that any further action can be decided like miui

Assign custom PHOTO to group.
Assign custom PHOTO to group, instead of default contacts' photos. If we can change the Name of the group text, would be nice to change the picture for the message group also.

Signature for one SIM only
Since many people with dual SIM are using one SIM as private and second for work, it's kinda important feature to set SMS signature for only one of SIM cards (or different signatures for each SIM)

time stamp glitch
may be device specific I have no idea, I have a GS8 and the time stamps for incoming messages shows two different times. One of the times makes absolutely no sense, and the other the correct. so basically when I swipe to see the time stamp there two times separate times on the incoming messages and one time on mine. very weird and annoying please fix

Replying from notifications should clear the notification
When replying from the notifications list it should clear the notification and mark the message as read. No reason to keep a message visible that's been replied to. Android Messages instead shows the your reply with the original notification but I prefer it clear it completely

Colour if Navigation Bar
Make the colour of the navigation bar the same as the background of the app, either being light, dark, or black.

Choice of SIM card when calling (dual SIM)
There is currently no option to call someone using 2nd SIM card. Even if I'm messaging someone on my 2nd SIM, Textra still will use 1st SIM giving me no choice when I want to call someone via Textra contact details

notification color by contact or group
love the icons on Galaxy AOD but would love if I could give different conversations different colors so I can tell at a glance if I want to check the message imediatly or not.
