  1. Retain/auto delete policy for Blocklisted texts

    Add feature that allows the user to set a retention period duration (e.g., 2 weeks, or 2 days, whatever) for Blocklisted texts so the app autodeletes any and all Blocklisted texts whose age exceeds the policy setting.

  2. Ability to Organize Chats into tab groups

    Samsung msgs has this, and I think google does too. It'd be nice to be able to sort chats into tabs like "Friends", "Family" & "Work" for example, so you're not constantly looking at a big wall of chats on the main page.

  3. responding to messages with emojis

    most all phones and networks are able to send emojis to react or as a response to "Text Messages" like instant messaging on social media platforms. people can send a thumbs up 👍 or a heart ❤️ or sad face 😞 as if it was attached to the message that was sent. why hasn't textra made it's users allowed to use stuff like that??

  4. Block unknown numbers except one-time codes

    I'd love the option to block notifications from unknown numbers but still see them if there's a one-time code in it. It'd be the perfect middle ground!

  7. Text Message Reactions

    Is it possible to have a feature to react to a text message. For example, "liking" or whatever. Sometimes I don't want to respond but want the person to know I saw the text.

  8. Choose or change contact color

    I like contacts having different colors when set to Auto Theme. That helps keep senders separate.

    However, but would really like the ability to change at least some to a color I select

    1 thing I absolutely love about a competitive Text app is I can favorite a Text Thread / to stick to the top of my Text inbox!!!! that way my family group chat and husband are always at my finger tips!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO THIS

    Whatassp allows you to go back in the text you just sent and edit typos...
    That would be amazing.

  12. extra safeguard for sending your text to the wrong person

    must be more than one send button that allows you to double check what you're sending and who you're sending it to. I've been in a big hurry and I've written out a text assuming it's going to a person and it ends up going to someone else because I didn't check the top

  13. Consolidated Shared Media

    Please allow users to view ALL shared media in one gallery. It's cumbersome to search through each individual chat to find a picture to save. Messages+ had this feature and I used it a lot.

  16. Listen to Your User's Ideas!

    There are literally thousands of users asking for a spam filter.

    Google messages has one. Every email service has one. I have my undergrad students create spam filters as homework assignments. It wouldn't be challenging for Textra to add one.

  17. Request for Encryption

    With the increase of cyber attacks in recent years and the quick advancement in technologies, it is paramount to include security at every level possible on all devices and applications. I gratefully request that the wonderful developers behind Textra add this functionality.

    I am sure that the great people at Textra are well aware of the existential threats of our technological lives. And I can speak for many of us when I say, we appreciate all of your efforts.

  18. Trash Area

    Sometimes, I don't realize that I have deleted something important until much later. Is there any way that we can implement a trash can? I would love to go back through my deleted conversations just in case I realize stupidly that I've forgotten something in a conversation that I should've saved. I'd greatly appreciate it!

    I would like the ability to sort my Blocklist by date so I can easily find the number I just blocked. Right now I believe it's sorted only by phone number in order.

    maybe change landscape mode to be more like iOS showing the message list on the side and the conversation on the other side? instead of just making it a longer version of what you are already looking at
