  1. Ignore phone number text or digits after 'x'

    My contacts originate from Microsoft Outlook (my phone syncs with Office 365 / Exchange). When you enter a phone number in Outlook, anything that you put after an 'x' is supposed to be ignored by dialers and SMS programs. For example, I may have the entry in a phone number field "(714) 555-1212 x Best to call after 6 PM". The problem is that Textra's caller ID logic tries to match the whole phone number string instead of just the characters before the 'x'. It would be great if users could turn on a setting that instructed Textra to ignore…

    Can you add signature on off option for each message sent indepently from signature settings?

  3. Edit Recipients of a conversation

    Would be excellent to be able to edit recipients in a conversation, rather than having to start a whole new conversation.

  4. Add new contact from group chat

    often end up in group chats with random numbers. would like to minimize efforts and clicks to add as new contact. suggest being able to do it from chat line menu after long press

    Have a favourite contact, eg partner, pinned so they are always at the top of the texts stream.

  6. Keep quick reply open

    On newer versions of Android, we have rich notifications. These give us buttons to reply or mark as read. After I use the reply button, the message gets removed from the notification shade. This is a problem when I want to reply with multiple messages, as is common these days. It would be nice to keep all of my currently active conversations open in the notification shade, even after I've replied.

    Android Messenger has this feature. I switched from Textra to Messenger after this feature was added but before Textra had the native quick reply. This behaviour keeps me on…

  8. default contact

    I have several contacts with more than 1 phone number work, home, cell ect. The contacts that I have as favorites always come up first when sending a new text which is great! However, their default (which i select their cell) is not the only one that shows, all 3 show and I have on many occasions sent a text to a number which can't receive texts. What I am proposing is that only the selected "default" shows in the texting favorites not all the numbers that are associated with a particular contact.

  11. put the word FWD: in front of a message when forwarding

    I would like to automatically have the fwd: in front of the message when forwarding instead of having to type it manually. another good idea is to have the name of the contact its coming from

    Messaging over wifi would be awesome. its the only thing needed for this app. You guys do such a great job, constantly updating and tweaking this app.

    hi

    it will be very usefull lif we can select which number of the contact we want in the group
    if a contact as more than 1 number especialy home number , it appear in the group and you must unselect it Evert Time. selecting which to add will be a must

  15. backup and sync everywhere

    The app is wonderful very fast and easy to use however it would be amazing if it would always be backed up and undated instantly on any device similar to whatsapp or iMessage which is what really set them apart from the game. It is so difficult backing up and restoring messages and mms on Android I wish there would be a flawless solution.

  16. Don't include gifs in MMS Auto save.

    hello, I use your auto save to Gallery function in the MMS settings, but I would like to not save my gifs. I send a lot of gifs and don't need them autosaved to my gallery. Is there any way to separate out gifs?

  18. Config settings to control delete

    some users want one swipe deletes, others want a "are you sure" pause step when deleting, still others want "Delete" to mean move to archive/trash so one's inbox is "clean". Instead of forcing all users to accept same delete behavior, put the behavior as option in the config setting for users to choose.

  19. Add shortcuts of conversations with multiple or only one recipient to android homepage.

    This appears only available in go and and I would like to move to textra but this is a must have service I need. I save shortcuts of work chats to my homepage and then collate them in a folder. Giving me fast easy access to various chats with single or multiple recipients
