Smart Alert
Get "Smart Alert" to work.
Smart Alert is when phone display screen is OFF and messages of any kind come in, as soon as the phone is picked up a quick vibrate goes off to show that messages are waiting.
its a stock feature. Note 9 on Android 10. Stock messaging app it works. As soon as i switch over to Textra its no good.2 votes -
Auto forward the incoming texts to another number
It would be a great feature if it's possible to enable the automatic forwarding of incoming texts to another number.

recognize address
the app does not recognize an address and just sees it as plain text. if there is an address in the text you should be able to tap on it and it should open in a maps app if choice.

Chrome Integration
Hello, I think a chrome extension that links notifications and message capabilities to chrome desktop would be really cool. this way you could text on a computer through this app.

Make Textra delete work like the majority of android apps
Please... Align Textra delete swipe with the majority of other Android apps so that swipe >>> left <<< deletes the message. Also please make the double delete confirmation a user setting

need to be able to select all messages
when I have a conversation with 200 messages and want to keep only the last 20, it becomes a tedious procedure to have to select 180 messages. with the standard messages app, I can select all messages and deselect the last 20 messages. much easier. this concept also applies to emailing and forwarding messages.

I have seen that they can send fireworks and lasers to one another thru there texting abilities...be really neat to have that option here!

Option to switch between bulk and chat within a text
It would be very useful when composing a mass text to be able to switch between bulk sms and chat sms within that text instead of having to change the default setting.

Search Feature
Would be awesome to have a search option to search all messages, the current contact and whether it's an exact match or contains.
I have the use case where I can remember someone told me something and I can't remember who, or if it was an old or new telephone number, or if it was part of a word or an exact word.
