group chat
The latest build (2/16/17) shows the number of contacts in a group chat (ex: 3). Instead of having this as the only option, please provide a choice. The older version split the contact photos depending on how many are in the chat. Perhaps have the contact icons smaller similar to messenger. Having a "number" does not help as selecting the chat, the contact names extend beyond the screen so it is difficult to know who is in the chat.

outlined!
it would be great to have bubbles outlined! especially dark colors. black, blue, red, etc text bubbles with a white, or colored outline would be so cool to look at!

Show more of my conversation in the notification
I would like textra to show more of my conversation in the notification tray. Like when someone sends me a text with multiple parts textra doesn't always show all the parts. Also it would be nice to see what I said to that person. Textra should show the last 3-4 texts in the notification.

Simplify attachment process
The "+" opens the keyboard and then becomes an "x" which must be pressed again to revert back to a "+" to add attachments. If I'm typing already, this isn't an issue as I only need to press a single button. It is however annoying if I've read the text in a preview window, especially on nougat and I just want to send a quick picture, gif(which I love), or emoji. Maybe a swipe up to open the keyboard and keep the "+" for attachments...

The boring white background has just got to go! Would love if the developer would comment on this popular idea!
A number of users have requested this. I'm a paid app user and I can envision making it a premium feature.

Option to use camera flash when taking pictures
I noticed when trying to take a picture to attach that there is no option to turn on the flash. I tried taking a picture in low light as well to see if the flash would activate automatically but it didn't.
Manual flash would be very helpful for me, for when I try to take pictures without flash they always turn out fuzzy because my phone doesn't have any kind of image stabilization. I don't know how many other users have this problem too.

Latest update replaced split contact images in group messages with a text number of people in the group. Please make that a choice.

Badge icon for Arrow Launcher
Hi, in previous versions of Textra badge icon seems to works with Arrow Launcher. But since a few versions it's broken.
I don't have the menu in Textra parameters to change this or disabling it.
Since a few time it displays a (1) in Arrow launcher and it's pretty annoying because I don't have unread messages. If you could add official support it would be so cool!2 votes -
copy and paste more intuitive
I like that this feature exists. a quality of life improvement would be to single press to highlight and have a menu pop to allow for option. would be good it it worked like iMessage does.

Quick Message box
Can you make it so...that when I reply to a message in the quick message notification it stays open until I'm ready to close as opposed to it just closing right after I send the message back?

Filtering at conversation by age
Some conversations die off and there is no conversation with that contact again. Typically they go down in the main list. A filter by conversation age that is by last message date in that conversation will help identify such conversations and help clean them.
