Return to previous screen
It would be nice if tapping the textra icon on the home screen would bring you back to the last textra window you had open, rather then bringing you back to the main textra screen every time. I realize you can go back to your previous screen by using the multitasking button, but if you're like me. it would be nice to go back to what you were doing by tapping the icon as well.

FORCE DEFAULT SMS APP FOR OPPO PHONES
Hi Textra Team. My previous phone was Samsung and I was using Textra for a verrryyyy long time because I love everything about it. I recently changed my phone to OPPO F7 for some reason. I immediately downloaded Textra to replace the default messaging app.
However, OPPO forces me to use the default messaging app.
Can you make some VERY STRONG option to FORCE TEXTRA AS DEFAULT SMS APP? I really want to use Textra. I still keep it downloaded on my phone hoping for this feature on next updates.2 votes -

Custom onscreen navbar color
I've seen a few apps that have custom color for the onscreen navigation bar, background and maybe also foe buttona. Textra has a lot of customisation for the app, it would be great to also have for the nabar.

Repeating notification not canceled when clearing message notification
Since probably 2 months ago, repeating notifications are not canceled / muted when clearing the message indicator. I have a notification for my wife which comes up every minute (can't miss those messages!), so this gets a bit annoying when I just quickly try to clear the notification. Instead, I have to unlock my phone, go into Textra, and open the thread.

Messages from blocked numbers
I would thoroughly enjoy being able to read messages from blocked senders. Perhaps you could add a folder to store said messages.

V30 on Android 8 unable to use "+" option in all texts.
Unable to add any media to texts via textra when pressing "+". Bottom attachment bar invisible on screen. Forced to use outside apps to send any kind of media. No workaround yet.

Controlling the size font of the chats by using the volume buttons instead of having to go to the settings tab.

Opening Textra in a small window
There was a cool feature when I used the default Samsung messaging app, when you'd get a notification for a text, you could pull it down and out and it would open a small app window that would overlay on any app that you had open. it was very helpful when you'd get codes texted to you for logging into certain things.

Sur l'application native de messagerie de mon Galaxy S8+, j'ai les accusés de réception ET les accusés de LECTURE pour les MMS et les SMS. Cette fonction est bien utile.
Pouvez-vous la développer pour Textra ? Ce serait Top et j'aurai retrouvé toutes les fonctions de base que j'aimais sur l'application native, avec en plus toutes les couleurs que propose Textra 😁!

Messages bubble
Hi, I was using hoverchat before using textra, and the only feature I miss is the messages bubbles (facebook messenger like), even if we can answer a message from the notification bar, it can be a bit frustrating when this window close if we have another message to write, is that something that could exist on textra ?

customize notification on contact groups
It would be great if the same customizations that is possible pr. contact could be made on contact groups! Especially the notification sound.
I am member of a volunteer rescue team. We have a leader group that calls out to all volunteers. When I am on duty I shall modify sound on all leaders and back a and back again after duty. It would bee much easier to place the leaders in a group and customize the sound that groups :-)

Auto Theme contacts for only group messages.
Add a toggle in the settings under auto theme contacts that restricts the auto theme to just group messages leaving the individual conversations with the selected theme.
