notifications for special number
when my bank send a code, anybody can see from locked screen. I could stop notification to appear altogether. but I still want normal and to show.
I wish there was a way to remove the right of notification for certain number

Show phone number category
Cureently the number category (private, work, etc.) is not shown anywhere. Even if I click on the down arrow for the conversation details screen, I can see the number only. This is annoying when I have two phone numbers for the same person, and I don't know which thread is for which number.

Search for unread msg
When performing a search there is a drop down list which includes "all" "scheduled" & "locked"
It would be useful to include "unread" to that list

How I Found Textra
Tmobile could not get MMS/SMS to function on my Samsung 965F phone, so after trying everything else, a tech assured me Textra would work (maybe a year ago). He was right and Textra is better in ways with no "cons" for me. If Tmobile customers are using Digits (very cool and unique but cons) though, they may wonder why their outgoing and incoming SMS/MMS are not synched on all supported devices (for any single line). They simply do not and the best I can offer is follow they follow no appearent rule. But it's not Textra. The lack of uniformity…

Screen Colour
You should be able to choose what colour your screen is, like how you can change the colour of the text bubble. Instead of just light, dark, etc., you can also pick a variety of colours like red or blue.

read incoming text aloud
my phone does read actual text msg out loud. I lose this benefit? to use t extra. I love textra but really miss incoming text msg read out loud.

Home screen Display
Add more colors on the home screen Display so that one can change on the home screen, numbered badges also a great choice before opening your inbox text, it only has black, grey and white.

Remove Ideas After Implementation
I think you should remove ideas after you have implemented them in the app.
Looking through the list of "Ideas" is disappointing when it appears that you pay so little attention to them that when you add a new feature, it is left on the Ideas list (presumably because you do not look at the list).2 votes -
Backup and spam
A backup option in Google Drive is a must needed feature. Also a feature to block spam sms by root is needed. For example if I block AB-WXYZ, someday later sms from CD-WXYZ comes. You get the idea? I'm trying to say that blocking the main root of 'WXYZ' is needed. And even when messages are restored from the Cloud, those blocked roots should remain blocked and should not be restored.

new features for black listing
- black list messages by a filter word like i can add some words and if a incoming message have that word it will be blocked
- set any message from unsaved contact to be slient
- change blacklist response like to only slient the message with notification or show message in inbox without notification or complete removed message and show message in a special black list folder. user should be able to choose from these three options

More Screen Colors
I'd really like to have more screen colors—a tone in between the dark and light colors or a more neutral grey background. The dark tone is a rather warm grey, which is aesthetically pleasing, but clashes with cool Gboard tones.

I found how to turn off textra autocorrect....
When texting there are suggestive words above text. To right of these words is arrow. Hit that arrow, turn off autocorrect

Backup and restore.
It's will be helpful to add ability to backup and restore settings. So, if it's need to get Textra on another phone or after reinstall or factory reset, just click restore option, - to get settings back, instead of setup again.

Detect and Fix iOS "liked" and "loved"
If an iOS user "likes" or "loves" or "thumbs" a message, Android users get the entire message back in quotes with the action the iOS user took. In a group text, this is really annoying with multiple iOS users liking each other's likes, getting flooded with duplicate messages. If Textra could detect and handle those messages in a better way, like displaying them the way iOS does, or hiding the full message text when iOS users do that, that would be great.

The black background on text
would be nice to be able to change background in the text message from the black to another colour or add your own pic as a background

I think that being able to view unsent MMS or those on hold would be a good improvement. Thank you again for this great application.
