White menu issue - reproducible
I can reproduce the problem consistently after killing and restarting Textra.
If this information helps you solve this issue, would you consider implementing my suggestion from months ago? It is: to provide a quick way to erase an unsent draft text from the main screen without having to: click the contact, Select All, hit backspace, and then return to the list of texts.
To reliably get a white menu on my phone:
0) make sure you have at least two custom Vibration Patterns available
1) make sure Textra is not running
2) open Textra
3) bring up the settings menu
4) select Customize Notifications
5) select Vibration Patterns
6) bring up the Delete / Rename menu button next to either of the custom patterns. Do not choose either option
7) back out of Vibration Patterns
8) repeat steps 5 thru 7
9) REPEAT STEPS 5 thru 6
On my phone this sequence results in a white menu every time. Note that you must repeat steps 5 and 6 THREE TIMES.
Alternatively, you can do steps 1 thru 6, then back out to the main screen, then choose any contact, and modify that contact's Vibration Patterns - doing it this way does not require a third invocation of the Vibration Pattern menu.
I haven't experimented enough to know if these are the only ways to cause this, or if multiple patterns are required, but this is how my phone is set up.

Mood has superseded your app
Not enough customizations and your app doesn't feature private mode.

all messages in the sms inbox are not displayed. just shows the last conversation only

Categories for pins/Categories in general
Hi all.
What about a feature to allow groups and or groups in pins? I message customers frequently and also friends and would like to have segmentation of the two groups...mostly in the pins as I make them my most important ones.

Spam filter and auto delete
Messages should be automatically blacklisted and should be deleted within given period of time including OTP SMS.

Allow option to swap sides of conversation sender recipient
I think it's more logical to have my texts on the left and recipients on the right. Why not an option?

Having difficulty sending video.
Videos will not send in message. This started about 5 days ago. It is also annoying to need to open Gallery to share a video.

problem
When I am viewing a conversation, click the down arrow on the right, then click the 3 dots by the sender's #, it pops up a blank drop down menu (where I think the choices are add contact or copy number?) Galaxy S8 on Verizon. thanks

messages for web
can you offer "messages for web" as Andriod is now offering and as Apple has done for a few years? this will allow to text from my laptop.
I love your app and don't want to use android text app to also use their new web messenger.

Long press on app icon, compose, and trigger keyboard
when performing a long pause on the app icon a list of contacts appears to send a message. tapping one takes you to the texts for that person. this should also trigger the keyboard to appear so you can start typing right away.

Preset Messages
The one great feature missing from your App is the ability to insert customizable preset responses or Messages such as "On my way" etc.
This is a huge factor for driving. Also I am an Independent Contractor and I send the same text over and over to different clients. It is a hassle to constantly have to type in the text.1 vote -
Chat Button position
Please consider relocating the "new chat" button further up from bottom of screen as it is too close to the back button on my Samsung Galaxy S9 & I accidentally hit it

Improved Send Delay
Send delay is one of the best features of this app, but it could be improved by allowing further customization. I'd personally like to be able to adjust by half second increments. This would allow some of the other commenters to adjust for longer delays as well which I noticed was a common theme in the previously posted suggestions. Or perhaps a feature that would delay based on message length? A selectable amount of time per character? I always just miss stopping messages with typos. But if I add that full second I end up wishing the message was already sent. Thanks and keep up the great work.

remove the MAKE DEFAULT APP button
Hi, I'm a paying user and it would be great to get rid of the MAKE DEFAULT APP button at the bottom of the screen. I'm trying to use the new Android messages for web (seems that textra and (Android) messages should coexist). however, this prompt in textra ruins it.

companion for work phone
I have two phones, a personal and a work phone, I would like to be able to find a handy way of running textra from my work phone so I wouldn't have to carry my personal phone. an iOS textra program that would allow me to log into my other number would be perfect
