Night Mode
You can turn on night mode and it turns into a black theme instead of white so it's not a strain on your eyes at night. Also there should be a automatic option where it turns on from around 7pm until 6am.

Turn off vibrate when sound on
I know you can select android only and get a slight vibrate but you should be able to turn vibrate off when sound is on and use one of the custom or longer vibration patterns.

Can the date format by the same as the phone or to set it myself? The M/dd/yy is not the standard on every country and ia nor convenient

Notifications triggered by keywords
This option would allow users to set keywords words found within the message body to trigger notifications. Could be global or contact specific.
Helpful for anyone receiving group or push out alert messages from a server. Would allow to only be notified of messages the user deems as a priority from the servers.
Example a user receives a SMS messages updates from their work or school. The user wants to be notified of snow closures. The user could input "snow" as the trigger word which would cause the notification rather than the sender.

Alternate way to access send button
would love to see the send button accessed some other way than a single press. I'm constantly accidentally pressing that when I'm choosing the right suggestion button. perhaps a double or long press? Preferably put in options so people that don't like it can turn it off.

Add date / time as option on every message.
When you have a chat with someone, Textra only shows the time/date for the very first SMS - unless you have taken some time to reply.
If would be nice to have time/date shown on ALL messages - at least as an option in setup.
If you in the chat should refere to a message without a screen capture, it pretty hard without having time/date for every message.1 vote -
immersive mode
Since enabling immersive mode the little plus for camera/photos/gif/etc does nothing. it has worked on one update but went back to failing.. having to go into photos and manually share them is getting frustrating /:.

Send multiple texts from pop up mode
In pop up mode, long press on the send button to keep the window open so you can send another text in quick succession.

Folders, Drafs, SIM2 notification sound, slide actions customization
why not folders (unknown, saved, new folders) to separate important msg, jokes, poetry, drafts etc.
drafs composing (start typing without contact /number) this can help us to use it as notepad app as well.
If u can add Option fo SiM wise/ contacts wise notification customization.
Give us options that right slide / left slide = delete or archive or other customizations like mute this chat etc
