    Noooo. Don't do this! There would be a much higher risk of deleting a text accidentally through an inadvertent swipe or by forgetting whether you swipe right or left to delete. If you DO implement this idea, you MUST require a confirmation before the text is deleted. Sometimes you have to save us from ourselves.

  2. Delete a text while reading it, without having to go back to the whole list to tag it and then delete it.
