Hide messages and photos in a conversation
The ability to hide messages and pictures in a conversation without deleting them. Sometimes you may receive a sensitive or NSFW message that you don't want other people to be able to read or see. The message would be hidden till selected but not deleted

add hour:min to incoming messages
By sliding on the right panel, one can see permanently hour:min of sent messages => add same system to incoming messages would be so useful!

reply feature found in whatsapp which copies the message you are replying to Thereby clarifying the intent

customize textra ringtones
you should have an option to be able to customize the ringtones. that would be great

open message once
When I open Textra, new messages are highlighted. When I open them and close them and close Textra, the next time I open Textra the message is highlighted again. Once it's opened it should never be highlighted again.

Add 30-day trash bin.
After deleting a message it would be nice to be able to recover it sometimes. How about adding a trash bin that holds deleted texts for 30-days?

Forward message to another person
Could we have an option or setting for forwarding text messages. When I forward a text to someone else and it is sent, either:
go back to the original recipient (currently this is how it's done)
go to the new recipient

Schedule recurring texts
Hello, it would be very helpful to be able to schedule a recurring text message. My wife is very forgetful and we have opposite sleep schedules, so it would help a lot to be able to schedule a recurring text to remind her to take her pills. Thank you for your time 😊

options to save media to any user space
Android 13 locks up default media access to Android.data.com.textra, so rather than an option to autosave to Gallery, can we get the option to save in any other user space of our choice, like Android.com.media.textra or something similar so that we can have access?

driving mode
the one thing I miss that Textra doesn't have is a driving mode to auto reply. I wish that would be in an update!

define groups within app
please make it so we can define groups within the app. Most other message programs allow this, and having to define them through contacts is cumbersome, and difficult when you manage your contacts through other servers and not on the phone.

reactions to text messages
I noticed that I'm not able to react to somebody's text. on an apple phone, you're able to press like or heart or laugh emojis as a reaction. on certain Android phones you can do that now too. but I don't think you can do it through textra, are you planning to enable that soon?

Ability to temporarily block all incoming text messages.
we will be traveling internationally and would like the ability to block all text messages while we are out of the country so we do not incur charges.

lost ability to schedule text to self.
One of the most helpful features was the ability to send a text message to myself on a pre-scheduled text. I would use this as sort of an alarm or notification for when I needed it. with the newer versions, when I text myself it doesn't come to myself it just sits there.

Always full screen
Would love to disable the popup / modal view and have Textra open a fullscreen message instead, especially when replying

Password Protected/Hidden Threads
Would love the ability to hide threads behind a password, in its own section. Also add the ability to autolock after either idle time or set timer.

Choose how to silence notifications
Instead of just being able to long-press a conversation and hit the "notifications off" button for that particular conversation, how about providing two options instead. One option would allow silencing JUST the sound (but message and status bar notification would still appear) and the other would work as the current button does, silencing notification sounds AND visual cues for that particular conversation.
