  1. How to Add the microphone for Google Voice Typing.

    The only thing i missed in textra was the ability for "Google Voice Typing" which is the little microphone under the button on the left of the space bar when LONG PRESSED. But if the microphone is not in the list under that button here's how to get it on a Galaxy S5 - Settings > Language and input > click on "Default" under keyboards > click on choose keyboards > then put a tick in "Google Voice Typing. Samsung keyboard should already be selected as the default keyboard. Now you will have the Microphone.

  2. Delivery report (how it looks)

    I think the design of the delivery report is not so great... It's a bit "invasive" and don't look as nice as the rest of the app (nice and clean!)
    Maybe it could be like the stock app, translucent bubble as it's not delivered, and normal when delivered...?
    Other ideas?

  3. More screen colours be added like notification colours etc.

  5. notification icon not shown when you already are in a conversation

    When Textra is on a conversation and the phone is locked, if you receive a message from this conversation, no icon will appear, which means that you have no no way to know if you have a new message.

    More critical, you can even miss this message if you don't check carefully your conversation.

    This is a real issue imho...

    Just make the send alone emojiis regular sized again instead of oversized... At least include the option. It's just annoying.

  9. Option to back up messages

    It would be great if Textra can back up all the messages so when you switch to a phone and install the app, you can retrieve all of it. It can either be linked to your phone number or email address. I would even pay for the upgrade for this function.

  11. Increase Font Padding

    I know this sounds like a minor complaint, but visually it could go a long way. I loved the Google Messenger app and comparatively one of my biggest takeaways was the padding of the chat bubbles. It's nearly twice as much as Textra and makes me feel like I can breathe, whereas Texra's makes me feel claustrophobic.

  13. Set colors for each contact/member in group thread

    I believe this was an option in previous version. I would like to be able to set the color of received text for each contact/sender in a group thread independently. It'd be even better if I can set the color per contact and have those color values set globally for threads of which that contact is present. Thanks

  19. The MMS notice thing only happens with Textra or Chomp installed.

    If I limit to only one text app installed at a time to test, only Textra and or Chomp produce the MMS touch to try again error message. No other texting app has this issue for me., Something must still be off in textra etc.
